Sara Beth Rothhammer

Student Apprentice

 

 

Sara Beth is originally from Broken Arrow, OK where she started dancing at age 6. She began her serious dance training in ballet and modern dance in 2003 at Oklahoma Performing Arts, under the direction of Laura Norman-Tyson. After graduating high school with distinction in 2007, she attended Wichita State University as a dance major. With WSU, she was given the unique opportunity to tour and dance in Taiwan. After attending Kansas City Ballet's summer intensive in 2008, she transferred to the University of Missouri-Kansas City, where she graduated cum laude with a BFA in Dance in May 2011. At UMKC, she trained under the instruction of Paula Weber, Mary Pat Henry, Ronald Tice, Sabrina-Madison Cannon, Deanna Hiett, and Rodni Williams. Also, she worked with guest choreographers Robert Battle and Bernard Gaddis. Sara moved to Springfield, MO in 2011 to begin as a Student Apprentice with Petra Ballet Company.
