Colleen Klein

Company Member

Colleen is a native of Tallahassee, FL. Her mother was a dancer and Colleen began ballet at an early age. Most of her early training was from Southern Academy of Ballet Arts under the direction of Charles Hagan and Natalia Botha. She also performed and toured internationally with the Tallahassee Ballet for many years. Colleen studied ballet at Florida State University from 1998 – 2002. She had the privilege of studying under Suzanne Farrell, Sheila Humphreys, Richard Sias, and Anjali Austin. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Studies and minored in Computer Science. Colleen also attended summer programs with Ballet Magnificat! and Miami City Ballet. In 2002 Colleen moved to Jackson, MS, to join the Trainee Program. She was later promoted to Company Member in Ballet Magnificat! Omega. She performed and taught throughout the United States as well as internationally for seven and a half years. Colleen moved to Springfield, MO in January of 2010 and joined Petra as a Company Member and Tour Director in 2011.
