Our History…
Petra Ballet Company is a professional ballet company based in Springfield, Missouri. Jason and Kim Raymond moved to the area in June 2007, from Jackson, Mississippi. Kim, originally from Springfield, danced professionally and toured extensively with Ballet Magnificat! while Jason was employed as the Omega Company’s road manager. God began stirring their hearts to see the name of Jesus lifted up through excellence in the arts within the community of Springfield. Things were set into motion for the company even before the Raymond’s move to the Midwest by financial donations and commitments from dancers. Petra began in January of 2008 with five contracted company members. While our vision is to be involved in the arts community within the city, the company also tours nationally. Jason serves as Executive Director of Petra; Kim is Artistic Director and a company dancer. |

About Us...
The company’s schedule consists of daily classes and rehearsals in preparation for performances, master classes and dance workshops. Company members include
dancers from across the United States. All dancers are professionally trained and desire to use their gift of dance to bring glory to the Lord. With a strong background in classical ballet technique, the company has a contemporary flare and uses all forms of dance in performance.
